About LazyLoad.
LazyLoad was developed by myself, Stephen Harrison, to start my computer quicker.
My computer has many start up programs which I do not need immediately, but are likely to
be required later.
Recently, I needed to quickly send an email prior to leaving for work. The
computer started up many applications which I did not need. This procedure takes
a long time, which, when waiting, can feel like hours.
In the weeks following, I would return home, switch on the computer, log on then wander off to make a cup of tea whilst waiting for the
computer to become usable.
Sometimes, I would get distracted and wish I'd started my email client also, which
takes an age.
There was only one thing for it. I needed an application which would delay the starting of applications until they were required. The email client would
then open after 10 minutes
or so. After looking around all I could find was a few startup managers which would prevent applications from opening. This was
not what I wanted. And so, LazyLoad was born.
